"...when you're not a little kid anymore, and you don't think like a little kid anymore, but you still feel like you need a safe place to go, where you can think and speak freely. For me, poetry is that place. I can let out all the feelings I tend to hold inside, or at least let them come up for air to breathe for a while, and not have to deal with any consequences or back-talk. I can tell whatever story I want to tell and there is no way I can get it wrong because it's my story. My place. And the best part is that I can always go back to visit any time I want. I can come and go as I please and not be made to feel guilty about it if I decide to never come back."

For some people, music is that place. But then, there's that one really special place where, both, poetry and music meet up and come to life at the same time. Now that is a place where some real magic happens!  And it is only a very special tribe of individuals who find the way to this magical place, BUT there are many paths to get there.  I have learned that a path will reveal itself only once you have taken the first step to getting there...even when you're not sure where you are going, but have to be the one to create a new path and lead the way yourself."
